About Us
Department Mission
National Formosa University is located in Yunlin County, one of the major agricultural regions in Taiwan. Students can easily access agricultural communities, allowing teaching and research to integrate with regional industries, thereby promoting the development of regional human resources, addressing the problems of aging and insufficient rural labor, and constructing competitive localized agricultural advantages.
At present, Taiwan’s agriculture is facing issues such as a declining workforce and an aging labor population. In order to create new vitality for Taiwan’s agriculture and advocate new thinking and concepts for modern agriculture, an agricultural talent cultivation system has been established. The apprenticeship-based training model helps encourage young people who are willing to engage in agriculture to become agricultural operators, cultivating students with professional capabilities in agricultural industry management, processing and marketing technology, farm management, and innovative entrepreneurship.
