Organic Group Cultivation Area

Center Operational Park - National Formosa University Maguang Organic Group Cultivation Area

The National Formosa University Organic Group Cultivation Area was jointly planned by the Ministry of Agriculture, Taiwan Sugar Corporation (Yunlin-Chiayi Regional Office), and National Formosa University (Agricultural Research and Extension Center). The project promotes an organic and environmentally friendly farming environment and has established an approximately 200-hectare organic agricultural zone at the Maguang Farm in Huwei Township, Yunlin County. This area has become the first demonstration park for organic agriculture and circular economy. At the same time, a local agricultural talent return system has been established through the creation of the Department of Agricultural Technology. After graduation, students can directly start their own agricultural businesses within the park and become agricultural operators, demonstrating a model of an agricultural “Silicon Valley.” From education to employment, the program cultivates new agricultural professionals step by step, aligning with the development of the national new agriculture policy.
