Introduction
The establishment of the “Kengyun Academy” of the Department of Agricultural Technology is responsible for planning experiential activities, workshops, visits, exchange lectures, and other learning activities that contribute to the holistic development of students. Through diversified approaches, it guides day division and continuing education division students to learn agricultural knowledge, supports autonomous learning, and establishes smooth communication channels among teachers, life mentors, agricultural masters, and students, while also sharing and disseminating information through a dedicated website,FB, Line groups, and other platforms.
Within the community, university teachers serve as mentors for students in daily life, academic matters, and career guidance, while masters act as professional mentors who pass on experience and spirit. The most important element of the companion mechanism is “companionship.” Many students who wish to pursue agriculture may have poor academic performance or feel uncertain about their future career paths in agriculture. During the journey to realize their dreams, they may easily develop thoughts of giving up. Therefore, in the agricultural apprenticeship training model, it is extremely important for mentors and apprentices to establish a partnership of mutual companionship. In addition, the academy has also established Life Mentors who care for students’ living and learning conditions each semester. This not only provides channels for emotional expression and consultation, but also gradually guides students to find their dream goals and supports their career planning, accompanying agricultural learners in exploring their interests and stimulating their inner potential.
