Participatory Activities

Good Farmer Lecture      
Invite agricultural masters to share sincere stories of farming, and how they build confidence in farming and create their own agricultural paths despite the seemingly sluggish local agricultural environment.
Short talks combined with question discussions encourage students to reflect and provide feedback, helping them shape their imagination for the future of agriculture.
Forum/Seminar    
Invite agricultural authorities, agricultural enterprises, NGO organizations to discuss and connect with major agricultural issues such as advanced agricultural technologies, safe and sustainable food development, Agriculture Productivity 4.0, youth returning-to-farming programs, and policies.
Off-Campus Visits         
Invite university teachers, agricultural masters, and students to visit different farms and agricultural enterprise groups, experience various operation and management models, broaden their horizons, and break traditional ways of thinking and understanding.
Experiential Activities       
•Experience the mountains, waters, and rural landscapes of Yunlin through hiking, cycling, mountaineering, camping, and other activities. From different perspectives and approaches, combined with discussions of environmental issues and historical culture, students challenge themselves while exploring knowledge and discovering the beauty of Yunlin.
Field Ridge Reading Club   
Read excellent agricultural books to understand the agricultural spirit and the craftsmanship of farmers hidden within them. Through reading, discussion, and sharing, participants cultivate different perspectives and deepen teachers’, masters’, and students’ understanding of various aspects of agriculture.
Practical Workshops   
Invite experts and scholars to provide practical sharing on specific topics: team operation skills, character and interpersonal communication, leadership, agricultural machinery maintenance and operation, packaging and marketing etc. Learning objectives and action plans are formulated according to students’ learning needs.
