Annual Operating Goals

The promotion team of this center is a faculty community formed through long-term collaboration. Faculty members assist entrepreneurial teams composed of students enrolled at this university by providing guidance and mentorship. As agricultural extension educators, these faculty members contribute teaching resources and industry advisory support, driving the transformation and upgrading of local agriculture in Yunlin. This interdisciplinary new agriculture entrepreneurship promotion team plans to develop technologies and services focusing on six key core areas:

1. Development and Services of Agricultural Testing Technologies:

Development of hardware and software for testing instruments, integrated with related industrial services.

2. Farm Operation and Management Diagnosis:

Through diagnostic analysis of farm management models, support is provided in marketing, finance, human resources, research and development, and information management to strengthen farm management resources and guide innovative operational models.

3. Production Management Guidance:

In cultivation technology, guidance is provided for production processes considering crop physiology, soil conditions, pests and diseases, and other environmental factors. In terms of quality management, certification, auditing, and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) are utilized to manage production quality.

4. Promotion and Guidance of Circular Agriculture:

In the pursuit of agricultural sustainability, a rational and intelligent approach is adopted to go beyond the traditional concepts of reduction, recycling, and reuse. This approach enhances the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of new agriculture and establishes operational models for circular agriculture.

5. Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Innovation Guidance:

Innovative and creative elements are introduced into the agricultural industry to guide startup ventures, which may further expand into social enterprises.

6. Agricultural Education and Extension:

Through the university's Department of Agricultural Technology, agriculture is integrated with engineering and business management to connect interdisciplinary teaching resources. In addition to technical training, a dual-track guidance mechanism is established to cultivate new agricultural talent. A comprehensive agricultural education system in Yunlin will be developed, supporting food and agriculture education programs in elementary schools, collaborating with local junior high schools to establish specialized technical classes, strengthening vocational education foundations in senior vocational schools, and providing career exploration opportunities. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's industry–academia cooperative program policy, a long-term agricultural talent cultivation program titled “3x3+4” is established.

The university’s research and teaching capabilities are invested in the overall development of smart agriculture. Collaboration is extended downward to vocational schools and agricultural industries to drive agricultural human resource development. This initiative encourages young people interested in agriculture to transition from passive recipients to proactive participants with clear visions for agricultural development. It aims to restore dignity to agricultural professions, transform traditional agricultural business models, and shift agriculture from labor-intensive practices to enterprise-oriented, information-driven, and even intelligent operations. Mature operational models from the manufacturing industry are introduced into agriculture to create new entrepreneurial opportunities and job markets. Through interdisciplinary expertise, the program seeks to address the practical challenges faced by local agricultural industries and guide agriculture toward sustainable and well-structured development.
