Farming Academy

The establishment of the "Keng Yun Academy" of the Department of Agricultural Technology is mainly responsible for planning experiential activities, workshops, visit itineraries, exchange lectures, and other learning activities that contribute to the holistic development of students. Through diversified approaches, day division and continuing education division students are guided to learn agricultural knowledge, supported in autonomous learning, and provided with smooth communication channels among faculty members, life mentors, agricultural masters, and students. Information is also shared and disseminated through a dedicated website,FBLine groups, and other platforms.

Within the community, school teachers serve as mentors for students in daily life, academics, and career guidance, while masters serve as professional mentors who pass on experience and spirit. The most important element of the companion mechanism is "accompaniment." Many young people who wish to learn agriculture may face difficulties such as poor academic performance or uncertainty about their future in farming, and during the journey to realize their dreams they may easily develop thoughts of giving up. Therefore, within the agricultural apprenticeship training model, it is extremely important for mentors and apprentices to establish a companion partnership with one another. The academy has also established Life Mentors, who care for students’ living and learning conditions each semester, establish channels for emotional expression and consultation, gradually guide students to find their dream goals and provide career planning guidance, and accompany agricultural learners in exploring their interests and stimulating their inner potential.
